Halloween Pj's!

I usually try to get the boys fun pajama's  for most big holiday's! And this Halloween it was quite the challenge.  I looked everywhere and couldn't get them matching I really wanted bones for both but, could not get them so, this is was ended up with.
 Bones for Zennon and
Monster Eye bottoms for Connor complete with Monster shirt.

Happy Halloween my two little favorites!!

Postponed Halloween

We had yucky weather for Halloween and by yucky I mean, rain, rain and more rain, wind, and cold, and just a lot of dampness.  Most of the counties around us postponed Halloween trick-or-treating until Sunday although ours did not we opted to stay in and have fun.  I told the boys we could trick or treat at Grandma and Papa's on Sunday and they were o.k. with that!
We made toilet paper mummies!

And ate loads and loads of candy! Thank you Grandma Sandy, Papa Pat, and Gigi!

It was a nice evening in with Gigi, Grandma Sandy and Papa Pat complete with a delicious dinner of PIZZA!

My 28th Birthday!

The husband, Connor, Zennon, Mom, Dad, and GiGi took me out to dinner a day early (our usual day to all get together is Thursday) so, we had a wonderful dinner out and per my request GiGi made me a blueberry pie!  It was delicious as always!  They also gave me the best birthday gifts ever!  I am really lucky!  Mom had already took me shopping the weekend before, I really did feel very spoiled this year!  My perfect pie - compliments of GiGi

On Friday, my actual birthday - I spent the morning playing with my baby boy Zennon - after we picked Connor up at school, we went and picked out some pumpkins and headed to my parents house.  Eric met us there later for a fish dinner and carving pumpkins!

Digging out the "yuck" as Connor said.  It took Connor a little longer to dig in then Zennon.
If the pumpkin was any bigger Zennon could of fit inside it :)  Both arms all in!
Papa was the "true" artist - Spiderman for Connor!

The boys showing off the pumpkins (with flash) yes that is tape - Connor decided to push in the only piece holding the cat in place!
Pumpkins (no flash) Dracula, Cat, Spiderman
Another year older, another year spent with my hubby, my boys and my parents!  I really truly feel loved and appreciated!

Little Boo at the Zoo

We took our little boo to the zoo!  We did a little trick-or-treating, and a lot of checking out the animals.  Since, its mid October and a little bit cooler we were pleasantly surprised to see a lot of the animals active that are usually sleeping - all summer long-.  The baby polar bears were very active playing with balls in the water!  The white Lions were walking around - growling, the Snow Leopards were out,  and even the Cheetahs were out to play!
Zennon choose to dress up as the HULK this year for Halloween.  And, if I say so myself he was the cutest lil HULK I have ever seen!

 Our lil Hulk!

GiGi joined us for the fun!

 Having a blast - trick - or - treating!
Snow Leopard!  It was so cool to see this not just sleeping in the corner!

Fall, Fall, Fall

Fall is in the air!  Oh, I'm sad to see summer come to an end but, I will welcome fall with open arms!  I absolutely love fall, one of the best times of the year!  Not only does my birthday come every fall, but I dearly love to watch the change of the leaves!  Football, Fires, Walks, Mums, Apple Orchards, Fresh Cider, Carving Pumpkins, Eating Seeds, just to name a few of my other favorite!!  Last night Eric, the boys and I - had our first night together with just the four of us with nothing else going on - No cross country, no meetings, no work, no school commitments, no messes (that couldn't wait till later) So, we took a nice walk (bike for Connor)  It was great!  The weather was perfect, and the boys seemed to enjoy themselves!

Final Cross Country Meet / Camping!

Leave it to me - to wait until the final meet of the season to try and get some really good photo's...  That might not have been the worst idea in the world except for the fact that it was pouring down rain like no other.

Did I ever tell you how much I love our RC family?  I think I have said it before but, they really do make you feel like you belong there.

This past weekend was our final meet of the season which was held at Maumee Bay State Park - what they usually do is camp the weekend, some stay in tents, some had campers and they have one big exciting weekend - Connor's friend Ethan's parents (friends of ours now) invited us to come along and stay in their camper with them..

Practice was held there Friday night then we all (about 15 families) had a pizza party.  It was a great time.  Connor & Ethan (and the rest of the cross country runners) had their meet bright and early Saturday morning (Which started out as a beautiful day for runners especially)  and right when it was time for the younger kids to run the rain started!  And I really mean it started - to pour buckets and buckets - Connor was soaked from head to toe before it was even time for him to run.  He did ok - but you could tell most boys were  taking it a little slower so, they didn't slip and slide (like lots were).  Saturday was filled with playing, eating, watching football, and thankfully drying out a bit once the rain had passed us!

We had a great fire!

The boys got the dads to play boys vs. dads football game!

Connor with his friend Jacob - playing on the swing set!

I did my best (even in the pouring down rain - and (NO I did not have my water proof camera) to take some pictures - It was my last chance!

National Anthem..
 Stretching
Warming up a bit :)

 RUN CONNOR RUN!!  SOAKING WET!

I'm sad to see the Cross Country Season come to an end - we met so many wonderful people, Connor learned a lot (including, he can run a whole lot farther, then he ever thought he could), he had amazing coaches, great friends, and we are so very much looking forward to next season!  After the banquet that is!  Connor will receive ribbons for every race he ran in!
