Connor's class trip to Wildwood

Mommy went along as a driver for Connor's class field trip to Wildwood.  It was all about showing the kids how to have fun and play games from back in the day.  Games that help with hand, eye coordination and get kids up and moving.  Challenge them to play things other than the typical video games they all seem to play these days.

Playing jacks with Xaiver & Zach
 Joseph's ladder.

After playing with all the old school toys it was time to visit the Oak Grove School and see how kids went to school back in the old days.

Dressed up & ready to learn!

What a fun experience for these young kids.. I think it was a very much enjoyed field trip!

Connor's 1st Kid Marathon

Eric and I signed Connor up to participate in the Kids Glass City Marathon this year!  He ran the 1/2 mile and did great - I did not see his time finished because I was busy wiping the tears ( I am so emotional I know) and taking pictures.  But he finished in the top 15 out of about 300 kids.  Both boys and girls some much older than him!  I just love that he loves to run!

Getting ready to run!
 Listening to the rules.
 And, he is off

 Run Connor, Run!!!
After race, showing of his medal..
A little lunch after the race.
With some of his goodies he received.

So proud of you buddy, hope you want to do it again next year!

Walk - A - Thon

Connor's school participated in a Walk - A - Thon to promote healthy lifestyles.  They walked for an hour during school hours.  The school provided each student with a t- shirt and water bottle.  Zennon and I went and volunteered to help out with the event!  Unfortunately, mother nature decided to bless us with rain (not cool) so, they had to walk in doors instead of outside.  The kids still had a blast!

My little helper!
Zennon snapped this photo of Connor as he passed by us!

After walking for an hour they had a little dance party in the gym!  Zennon was busy getting pictures of Connor and his friends dancing!

Both Connor and Zennon were asking to take pictures of things our entire vacation on both my camera and my cell phone.  Instead of deleting them all I encouraged them to take pictures of things they liked!  This entire blog post is ALL picture's Connor and Zennon took.  Looking back on these photo's it truly is our vacation thru those 4 little eyes!
