Connor has moved on from his days of t-ball or coach pitch. We tried something new this year - our local community makes a huge deal about baseball and Connor was old enough to join. He got drafted to the Pirates (Oh, man - did he think that was pretty cool). They play about 10 games at the beginning of the season back to back double headers. The they move on to 1 game a week where they play 7 innings. For about 4 weeks. Then its on to the tournament. They even have a night game where they play under the lights. This Saturday is our last regular season game.
I just adore this program.. Everything about it! Connor has grown so much this season, understand how his stance at bat should be. To hitting the ball off of a machine pitch. Where you make the plays depending on how many outs or where the runners are. I just have loved watching him grow and most defiantly improve. We have came a long way since May. They really make the kids feel important they go all out with uniforms and fields.
Unfortunately, he did not get on a team with any of his friends but, we did play them. So he enjoyed that! Connor and his friend Joey after there game.
