Special Day for a Special Girl

I should of known from how busy our schedule was that something, just something small would go wrong.  But, if you would of told me this, I would of laughed.  You see I figured we would forget something along the lines of Rylinn or Zennon's blankets (which are a must at bedtime) or maybe we would forget the Destin (and this one time would be the time she really needed it) or I might even say that we would forget the gift for this special little girl.  It is safe to say we had packed and remembered every single little thing.
Our vacation started off on a whirlwind, Connor had baseball practice and really didn't want to skip so, why daddy and Connor were at practice.  I got everything ready, the car packed and as soon as they were home we could hit to the road.
Since Aunt Jenn, Uncle Tom and Brook already had lots of visitors in town we decided to stop Friday night in Cincinnati and visit with Uncle Tom & Aunt Lauren for a evening.  We got in kinda late on Friday but, spent most of Saturday visiting before eating a late lunch as heading out to finish our trip.
Let's be clear, I did not forget a single thing for any of my babies!  They all were looking extra cute..  This little miss playing with her brother's headphones!
All my little loves with their Papa Bill & Daddy.
See anything wrong with this picture yet?
Clue... look at daddy :(
Reminder Daddy is Brook's godfather.
We left daddy's suit & tie and my dress hanging by the back door..Total bummer :(
Wanted it to be the last thing we loaded so, it would be on top and not wrinkly.
Thankfully, we did have golf shorts and shirt that Eric was going to wear at the after party.  I had a fancy top and yoga pants that I was going to wear at the party after.  Little did I know, I would have to wear it the entire time.
The only plus in the situation is we realized we forgot everything on Saturday evening so, Aunt Jenn and Uncle Tom had a little time to play damage control.  We had brought our dress shoes so, all daddy needed to borrow was dress pants, shirt and tie.  A bit to big but, it served its purpose.

These little sweeties were wore out after the Baptism.

Little beauty playing in her princess dress!
Leaving to come home, it never a fun time..  Long car rides, saying goodbye family, unpacking, and just going back to our normal schedules.  We stopped at a gas station for some drinks and snacks for our trip..
I asked daddy for a candy bar and this is what he brought me.
I sure hope that is not what he thought of me this weekend... lol

The end of 2nd Grade

School is officially out for summer!
Eric and I have a flipping 3rd grader.
How in the world did this happen?
When did he become so old!

I hope you enjoy your summer vacation kid!
We have a few fun filled vacations with family planned.
Playdates with friends on the calendar.
And hopefully lots and lots of outdoor play and swimming!

Baseball for Connor

I swear some days I feel like we go from 1 sport on to the next!  Oh, wait - we do go from 1 sport to the next!  Both the boys are super active and that makes my heart happy.  They are very into sports and until they know exactly what they want to focus on - we are all about trying it all out!  Connor is very talented at baseball so, I sure hope he chooses to stick with this one!
Connor with two of his best friends Jacob and Dylan
Yeah, they are looking pretty serious for their Night Game
The darn pole blocked my picture of Connor's pop up catch.
His favorite position was 1st!

He also played 3rd a lot!
And, he was pretty good at that too.
I loved watching this kid swing!  He has come a long ways since t-ball!
Connor loved having some friends on his team this season.  Sadly, because of the age gap between him and his classmates they are moving up a level and he has one more season in this league!  Daddy and I think - he is going to kick butt next season with less kids he knows way more focus on the game..

Surgery thru the eyes of a 5 year old

Surgery can always be a little scary.  We worry leading up to it, we stress during and then of course you recover after.  I am such a little worry wart and daddy always make fun of me for taking pictures of things I should not take picture of..  I feel like some day he will look back on this and want to remember so, I took a few pictures, and Zennon took a few so, he can always look back and remember his 1st surgery.
BTW, I totally thought his little scrubs were the cutest thing ever
Daddy all ready to go back with Zennon.
Photographer: Zennon
Even the turtle was getting ready to go back.
He was even teaching Zennon how to breath medicine.
He is 5, he obviously had no idea what was going on or what was going to go on,  It took him a little while to feel like himself after surgery and he totally listened to the Dr.'s when they told him to rest and relax!  He spent a good week milking daddy and I.  And, it were telling the truth - we didn't mind a single bit.

I promise

I promise you, this will truly never get old:)  I am sure there are a million things I could be doing right now but all I want to do is this!!  I will always take the extra time when she wants to cuddle, her brothers too for that matter..
We always thought the boys were cuddle bugs,  that was until you came around.  You are for sure our most cuddle loving little peanut.

Zennon's 1st Pre-School Graduation

Our big boy has completed his 1st year of Pre School.  This year was for sure a transition year for us.  Zennon attended Pre-School 3 days a week for 2 1/2 hours.  It was a great start but, he needs more.  He needs 5 full days all week.
Although, he is going to go on to Pre-School one more year before he attends Kindergarten. This was a wonderful way to start his school career.
His graduation was adorable, by the way!

So beyond proud of this little man!

Thank you Grandma Sandy for taking these as well.

After the ceremony we took some nice family group pictures!

This kid had one request for his party and it was for Chick Fil A to be served!
I think this was a special enough event to make that happen!  It actually turned out to be a huge hit!

And who doesn't love these yummy desserts!

Thank you to all our family & friends who helped celebrate our son's special day!  For anyone that knows Connor he is very shy and not too often the center of attention.  I think he very much enjoyed today and felt so much love!
